I came across the artwork of Kris Lewis today on Facebook and had to post a link. His artwork is absolutely amazing!
As I begin a painting the subject physically, emotionally and spiritually reveals itself to me. Each brushstroke speaks to the subsequent stroke, carrying out a dialogue, linking my subject and me as if we were meeting for the first time. I find this uncertainty exciting and embrace the indecisive nature of my work.
Go and have a look at this guys work!
Some weeks ago I ordered Bailey a Liverpool Football Kit (all you Everton fans hold back the abuse) from SportsDirect.co.uk (I won’t link to them), received an email saying the order had been receieved and that it would be dispatched promptly. Weeks later the parcel had still not arrived. So I sent SportsDirect.co.uk an email asking for an update on the order, which went un-answered. I waited a few days (sometimes companies find it hard to keep on top of their complaints, especially when they probably get so many) with no response. Today I called to ask what was happening only to discover that (apparently) the amount had been refused on my card, which I found unlikely but plausable. What I didn’t find plausable was that SportsDirect.co.uk didn’t contact me. No phone call, no email, just cancelled the order. When I asked If they still had them in stock I was told they had sold out.
Luckily there are plenty of worthwhile online stores where you can get the Junior Kit from without such hassle or incompetance… a couple are listed below:

Joe Sorren has been busy again. I can’t express how much his artwork inspires me!
I watched the first episode of Survivors on BBC One last night and I’m now looking forward to the next one. I really liked it and found it quite poignant in places. “When was the last time you did anything remotely practical?” It certainly made me wonder how we’d all get along without being spoon-fed.
I like those kind of movies… I saw The Omega Man (the film that inspired I Am Legend) as a child and thought it was pretty awesome. Ever since I’ve liked the horror/apocalyptic genre, including films like 28 Days Later and the Dead Trilogy.

After a pretty poor night’s sleep we’re sat doing the usual Sunday morning thing and watching Malcolm In The Middle. I love this programme, apart from anything else I really connect with the characters (having three kids that seem to be on self destruct permanently).
Bella, bless her, has a chest infection. Yet another illness in a long line. She appears to be getting on with things but it’s obvious she isn’t herself. Bailey has recently succommed to the illnesses floating weightless about our abode. We had to take him to the emergency doctors at 7:30 on Friday with a temperature of 41°C. He has an ear infection. Honestly - we do look after them. Now today I feel like I may be on the verge of another child born illness. I’m drinking hot lemon and honey drinks like my life depends on it but I think in the end it will get me. They always do. Usually because I can’t be bothered to fight any longer.
Things have been a little strange around here. My dad has been in hospital for a pretty major opp and it was quite a shock to see him in bed afterwards looking so frail. I always remember him big and strong and having to hold his hand to help him to the toilet was humbling. Thankfully he’s on the mend and has been sent home with strict instructions to ‘behave’. All this on top of the usual daily toil… I’m really looking forward to Christmas.

Had a really hard time riding to the station this morning thanks to a strong head wind. Probably the first of many winter winds that will completely tire me out before I’ve made it to work. I imagine my calorie in-take will increase over the coming months.
