unbelievably I started a painting tonight... maybe it was the alcohol, but I like to think that it was my 'inner' artist trying to escape the hum-drum, materialistic lifestyle that I've become accustomed to. It has a way to go yet, I stopped because I was getting frustrated and didn't want to become so impatient as to do something totally stupid and wreck it. I like the basic composition, I like the form and structure. I just need to colour it up and in a way that isn't to contrived. I started to get to 'detailed' in my last painting and had to abandon it.

Here's the progress so far...

I'm hoping to get some more done tomorrow night. I feel alive again.
