Me? Modest? Never

21-02-2007

...certainly not where my Children are concerned. Becky (congrats on becoming Mrs Gill), a friend of mine asked me to show her some photo's of the kids so I sent her links to my Flickr account to which she replied "it has to be said - you have two of the cutest kids that I've

ever seen!". It has to be said that they are the two greatest achievements of my otherwise uneventful existence. I actually can't take all the credit - Jenny is probably the reason they're growing up good, strong and above all sane... if pride really is a sin, then I'm going to hell god damn it!

Bella rebels

07-02-2007

Bella has definately figured out what no means. There's absolutely no doubt about it. In fact while I've had a 'posting dry spell' here she's figured out what a lot of words mean. We're now able to communicate quite fluently by asking direct questions and Bella will look at us, with a vacant expression (just for a millisecond) before giving a nod of the head and a 'Yea, yeah' or a little shake 'Nooo'.

The 'No' always trails off.

She's also figured out that shouting 'No!' is a strong dissagreement (I wonder where she got that from?) which can be comical at times.

Freaky Friday

12-01-2007

Today was a bit shit really, dispite managing to get 40 winks in the car at lunch time (this time not being disturbed by the half-wits that are employed by HSBC - I wonder if they get some kind of Government grant for employing the 'intellectually challenged'?) the day was very slow and work was awkward and uncomfortable - for reasons I can't go into right here. I've been working like a dog on a freelance flash project and between christmas and now have racked up almost 100 hours... hoping that the pay-off from that will keep the tax man happy when he comes a-banging on my door.

Bella can now say 'Mummy', apparently she said it yesterday - but I heard it for myself today.

Throw Out The Alarm Clock

31-10-2006

There's no need for an alarm clock when you have two kids. I'm not sure of the exact time but Bella decided at a very early hour this morning that it was time to get up, and being the headstrong little girl she is stood in her cot and screamed for what seemed like ages. And when she had finally had enough, and (probably) couldn't manage more than a meer whimper, Bailey took over!

I'm so tired!
