I made Date Cookies yesterday and to my surprise they're really very nice... so I thought I'd share the recipee.

6oz Butter

3oz Caster Sugar

3oz Chopped Dates

6oz Plain Flour

Cream the butter and sugar together, add the dates and flour 'til well mixed. Used a teaspoon of the mixture for each cookie and space about 4cm apart, press down with a wet fork and cook for 15mins at 175 degrees C.

[amend um]Sorry - I got the quantities of sugar and dates wrong... basically you can't go wrong if you use equal quantities of butter + flour + (sugar + dates)[/amend um]
