Mentally Challenged

I'm not sure what it is about small children. Maybe we're not compatible, maybe ours have some kind of attention deficit disorder but it seems that Baley and Bela are intent on driving Jenny and myself totally insane. We've tried all kinds of means to counter or minimise their attacks on our mental state. Nothing appears to work.

Yesterday, between them, they probably spent the entire day in their room. It seems there's a conspiracy to get me locked up in a mental home so they can live off my millions - can you spot the flaw in their plan?

Back to it

Well it's back to the grindstone after a day on the couch. I have a whole lot of ideas and projects that I need to get jotted down and ordered in some kind of list, along with just catching up on what I missed yesterday.

On another note, while I was up this morning with the kids I saw an article on GMTV about the rising cost of childcare, something that we at our house know quite a lot about. We made the decision this morning to pull Bella out of nursery, something that we don't really want to do as we've been cutting down her hours more and more. Unfortunately, until circumstances pick up, it's an expense we can not afford.

Yum Yum - here's to another one!

So another year has come and gone... it's 2008! Christmas was great, the first year I think both kids really enjoyed it (obviously Riley has a few years yet before he realises the materialistic meaning of Christmas). Santa bought me some Ugg Boots (warm toes at last), some Smiths Shades and The Borne Ultimatum (which I really enjoyed by the way, action all the way) along with some other stuff - I'm waiting to see how my 'grow your own' chilli plants come out.

Unfortunately I appear to have grown a spare tyre, so I started my New Years resolution early and went to the Gym on New Years Eve.
